Tygers Look To Bounce Back Against Canfield

Last Friday night may not have gone the way the Tygers wanted after a tough 21-14 loss to Akron SVSM. But there is one thing we can’t deny, that is a Chioke Bradley coached team will always show heart and resilience. “We will never quit, that’s just not in our DNA, we as a staff we preach that and try to instill that to all our kids.” Coach Bradley said this at practice this week.

After a slow start offensively, trailing 21-7 with less than 9 minutes to go, the Tygers clawed back after Junior quarterback Braylen Patterson threw a 58 yard bomb to a wide open Ny Petty making the score 21-14. On the ensuing offensive possession the Tygers were able to put themselves in a position to tie the game. It all came down to a fourth down play that had Arlin Field on the edge of it's seats. Unfortunately Senior High came up just short but take some moral victories into week two.

After a hard week of practice and preparation, the Tygers will make the two hour bus ride over to Canfield high school to battle the Cardinals. This will be a rematch of last year’s game at Arlin Field in which the Tygers won 24-14. Last week Canfield lost to West Branch 27-7, making this week’s game a huge momentum boost to the winner at Cardinal Stadium Friday night.
